POLSON - The AARP Tax Filing Assistance program has filed nearly 700 individual or joint tax returns over the past 10 weeks for local senior citizens. Special thanks to the 12 trained volunteers who worked more than 3,000 combined hours to assist in this AARP event.
We need a driver(s) for a short delivery in-town area route for less than one hour each weekday, from approximately 10:45-11:30 a.m. There are only 10 stops. You can work single or multiple days. Dependability is a must. The job begins on April 16. For more information call 406-883-4735.
Activities:
- Toenail/callus Clinic takes place the fourth Friday of each month. Sign up is required and there is a $30 fee.
- Bowling: “no-tap” Tuesdays 1-3 p.m. Join any time.
- Wednesday Play Day: cards, board games, Dominoes, Yahtzee, Scrabble - Invite a foursome.
- VSO (Veterans Service Officer): first Friday and third Tuesday of each month - 9 a.m.-noon Walk-ins OK.
- Spinning Wheelers: first Tuesday of each month, May 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. - 208-520-1013
- Bingo: Fridays - open at 5:30 p.m. - play at 6 p.m.; “Playing-Card” bingo on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
- Exercise: sitting, standing or dancing - every M- W- F, 10:30– 11:30 a.m. - video-assisted - low impact
- Pinochle: Thursdays & Mondays - 12:30-3 p.m. - early birds at noon - We play 3, 4 or 5 handed.
- Pool: open table 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Menu (subject to change): lunch $5 donation - served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 16: cheeseburger with fixin’s, steak fries, watermelon/tomato salad, chocolate pie squares
- Thursday, April 17: beef pot pie, biscuit, baked apple, veggie Jell-O, lemon pudding
- Friday, April 18: Good Friday - baked fish, scalloped potatoes, green beans, mixed green salad, pumpkin bars.
- Sunday, April 20: Happy Easter! (hard boiled eggs … if you make them yourself) We are closed.
- Mon. April 21: split pea and ham soup, muffin, fruit, brownie
- Tue. April 22: Earth Day - repurposed chicken casserole, recycled vegetables, reduced bread, green salad, spice cake
- Wed. April 23: soft shell taco, Spanish rice, black bean salad, lemon bars
- Thu. April 24: Seattle hot dogs, baked beans, pickle, pasta salad, cookies
- Fri. April 25: birthday dinner - baked Ham, sweet potato bake, veggie blend, homemade rolls, pineapple fluff, cake.
