POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will celebrate “Read an eBook Day,” on Thursday, Sept. 18. Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun. This worldwide digital reading event is designed to raise awareness for eBooks.
To get started, you’ll need an active library card and an Internet connection. If you haven’t already placed OverDrive on your device, you’ll need to download it. OverDrive allows access to free electronic books and audiobooks from the library’s digital collection. Go to montanalibrary2go.org, where you can find the OverDrive applications (click on “Applications” at the bottom of the page), access your account, and then download any eBook of your choice.
Then share your eReading experience with OverDrive on Twitter or Facebook by employing the hashtag #eBookDay. Comments can also be made at: http://readanebookday.com/.
Throughout the day, OverDrive will give away tablets and devices in honor of the occasion. By sharing your story, you can be entered to win one of the hourly drawings.
Questions can be directed to North Lake County Public Library’s technology trainer. Please call the circulation desk at (406) 883-8225 or visit the library at 2 First Ave. E.
