ARLEE — Happy fall to Arlee Senior Center friends and patrons.

Again, we’re sending out the October menu to tempt you with our culinary delights. We are happy to have meals and enjoy on another’s company. On Mondays and Wednesdays lunch is at noon. On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, supper is held at 5 p.m. You can call 406-726-3213 to reserve a meal or for a take-out meal.

If you need a menu, Cherie Garcelon posts them on Facebook and on our Arlee Seniors website. Share the menu and invite everyone to attend. The meal costs are $4 for those over 60 years old and $5 for those over 60 years of age for Saturday evening meals. The meals are well balanced, delicious and have beverages, salads, fruit and dessert along with the entre. Bring your friends and family as age makes no difference. We love to share our stories, learn more about aging services and break bread together.

Flu shots provided by Lake County Public Health will take place on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m.-noon. No need to register; you just need to come in. This information is also on the website. The Area VI Agency on Aging has also discussed the need for the new Covid vaccine, which you can get at your local pharmacy.

We thank the Food Bank and many others who have donated food and their garden’s abundance to this center. Thanks again for the beautiful flowers from the Tiensvold’s gardens and the table flowers from Lilie Willson.

We have been busy here at the Arlee Senior Center distributing commodities. Our next delivery date will be in November. We ask that you pick your commodities up in the afternoon that day, or arrange with us to have them picked up. There are many openings for anyone who qualifies for commodities. We have applications here at the center. You may also call LCCOA for any information or help with home care, information and assistance, transportation to medical appointments, etc. Now’s the time to use the services they provide.

We enjoy having you come and share your stories of the past year or more. Our cooks enjoy providing a good meal for you.

Have a fantastic fall.
