POLSON — The Polson City Commissioners voted not to renew Polson City Manager Todd Crossett's contract at their Dec. 3 meeting. Crossett’s contract requires that the commission notify him six months before the June 15 contract date if they intend not to renew.
The vote was close, at four votes to three. Commissioners Todd Erickson, Dan Morrison and Stephen Turner voted to renew Crossett’s contract, and Commissioners John Campbell, Fred Funke, Mike Lies and Mayor Pat DeVries voted against renewal.
Approximately 45 people attended the meeting, with 14 people speaking in favor of Crossett, several of them City of Polson employees.
Before the vote was taken, the commission went into executive session for an hour to evaluate Crossett and discuss contract renewal.
