POLSON — Due to the ever-increasing lunchtime food deliveries, we will add an additional route. The route should take about 45 minutes. Each route will have about 12 stops. Call for further details. We need your help, please. 

The Vernal (spring) Equinox (equal amounts of daylight and darkness) is on March 20. It will continue to snow and sunshine may be limited.

Taxi service is available for Polson area seniors who are in need of assistance. We drive to local businesses or health offices, or care facilities. Reservations highly recommended. The cost is $5 round trip.

A toe-nail clinic by a certified nurse will be held on Friday, March 28, with a cost of $30 and is limited to eight or so people. Sign up or walk -in.

Free AARP Tax Preparation Assistance takes place on Mondays and Thursdays. Call us to make an appointment. 

An AARP Safe Driver Course will be held on March 25 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Call the Polson Senior Center to sign up. The class size limited to 20. You can save on your car insurance. There is no testing only videos and a guided discussion. The $25 fee includes a study guide for further reference. 

Activities:  

Bowling: “no-tap” Tuesdays 1-3 p.m. Join any time. 

Wednesday Play Day: Cards, board games, Dominoes, Yahtzee, etc. Invite a foursome.   

VSO (Veterans Service Officer:) first Friday and third Tuesday of each month - 9 a.m.-noon - walk-ins OK

Spinning Wheelers: first Tuesday of each month - (March 5) - 11 a.m.-1 p.m. - 208-520-1013

Bingo: Fridays pen at 5:30 p.m., play at 6 p.m.; “Playing-Card” bingo on the first Wednesday of each month 

Exercise: sitting, standing or dancing: M-W-F, 10:30–11:30 a.m., video-assisted, low impact. Move it or lose it.

Pinochle: Thursdays and Mondays: 12:15-3 p.m. We play 3, 4 or 5 handed and there were 17 players last week.  

Pool: open table from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Menu (subject to change): lunch - $5 donation - from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 

Wednesday, March 19: hamburger gravy, mashed spuds, mixed veggies, chocolate chip bars

Thursday, March 20: Spring is here! turkey pot pie, spinach salad, baked apple, 7-layer cake

Friday, March 21: chicken/ham wrap, chips, fruit salad, cookie

Monday, March 24: tomato soup, cheesy bread, fruit, cookie

Tuesday, March 25: barbecue pork sandwich, corn, pepperoni pasta salad, coconut cream pudding

Wednesday, March 26: beef stew, bread bowl, green salad, jello fluff

Thursday, March 27: Coney Island style hot dog, meat/chili sauce, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, cookie

Friday, March 28: birthday dinner for lunch; roast turkey with all the fixings, door prizes, cranberry salad, pumpkin cake
