POLSON — The Polson Flathead Lake Historical Museum faces an uncertain future unless they can acquire funds from grants and private donations to replace the roof and make other required renovations to their building.
The roof leaks are now very serious and although we have covered every exhibit and artifact for waterproofing purposes over the winter, the roof must be replaced. In pursuing funding for the roof repair and other renovations we require, we have identified 20 plus foundations that award grants for “brick and mortar” projects as well as a few that award grants for improved displays. The museum has also recently created a Facebook page and posted our donation drive on GoFundMe.com.
Foundations and other grant organizations require letters of support from community businesses, organizations and individuals to accompany each grant application. Letters of support for the museum are requested from local businesses, organizations and citizens.
