RONAN - Bessie Nona Argo, of Ronan, passed away on March 13 at St. Luke’s Community Hospital. Bessie was born on Oct. 26, 1936, as the only child to Allen and Ireva (Root) Voorhies, and grew up in Niarada, Montana, where her parents ranched and ran a general store and Post Office. She attended school in Lonepine and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1954. During her school years, she was very active in 4-H and music.   Bessie attended St. Patrick’s School of Nursing in Missoula and became an RN.
