About the Valley Journal
The Valley Journal is a free, locally owned, full-color weekly newspaper dedicated to accuracy, integrity and community support throughout Lake County. Our professional staff works diligently to bring balanced news and quality advertising to a readership of all ages, income levels and cultures.
Founded in 2004, the staff of Your Homegrown Newspaper has grown from six to 12 over the past nine years. Weekly circulation has also increased, from the original 5,000 to 8,600 copies distributed at more than 300 locations.
Personal accountability, commitment to excellence and accuracy are core values shared by our hard-working staff. In return, the community has entrusted us to tell their stories and serve our local businesses with their advertising needs. We consider it an honor and privilege to serve as the Mission Valley’s trusted news source.
