Accounting technician

    The successful applicant is required to have a high school diploma and two years of either education in an accounting field or on-the-job.  Must possess working knowledge of standard, modem office and procedures, with preference given to those who also have working knowledge of CSKT protocol. Must be skilled in the operation of computers, copiers, calculators and other standard office equipment. Must be able to read and interpret complex written material; Must be able to learn and master a variety of computer software. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to do data for an extended period of time uninterrupted on a daily basis (goes to hand repetitive nature and sedentary nature of position).  Must be able to stand at copy machine to process paid bills for an extended period of time. Must be able to lift purchase requisition boxes (approximately 28 lbs) to load printer as required. 70% sedentary and 30% light effort. Must be able to walk the Tribal Complex campus as needed to retrieve and deliver documents outside of the DHRD building. Must be able to work calmly in situations and to be able to adapt easily to changes. All applicants must submit a Tribal application, copy of academic transcripts/training certificates, copy of current valid driver's license and proof of insurance, proof of enrollment in a federally recognized Tribe if other than CSKT and if claiming veteran's preference, a copy of DD214 must be submitted. This is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) months probationary period. Association executive director

Association Executive Director: The Montana Newspaper Association (MNA), a non-profit organization representing 85 member newspapers and 44 associate members, seeks an Executive Director. This position will work closely with a board of directors and will direct operations of the 133-year-old MNA, its for-profit advertising sales subsidiary and the Montana Newspaper Foundation. Responsibilities include financial planning and operations, legislative work, marketing/advertising, seminars and conventions, contests, office and personnel management, publications. Successful candidate will understand community newspapers, web-based news and advertising, use of social media and exhibit strong communications and interpersonal skills.
