CHARLO – After starting the 2017 season 2-0, the Charlo Lady Vikings volleyball team suffered its first loss of the young season on Saturday evening. The visiting Plains Lady Trotters defeated the Lady Vikings in Class 14C action 3-1 (25-21, 15-25, 25-11, 25-14). The Lady Trotters took a quick 5-1 lead in the opening set before the Lady Vikings got things going offensively and battled back to take a 14-13 lead. Plains used a 6-0 run to take a 19-14 lead midway through the set. The Lady Vikings came back with a 4-0 run of their own to get within a point 19-18 before the Lady Trotters took control and closed out the set 25-21.
