NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING

THE BOARD OF LAKE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAS COMPLETED ITS PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020.

    The budget has been placed on file and is open to inspection in the office of the Lake County Clerk and Recorder/Finance Department September 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2019.  Any taxpayer or resident of Lake County may appear and be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget. The Board of Lake County Commissioners will meet on the 5th day of September 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s office to approve the final budget and make appropriations.

    The Town of St. Ignatius is requesting letters of interest to be submitted to fill the vacancy for the office of COUNCIL MEMBER for the remainder of the term.
    All applicants must be a TOWN resident and reside within the city limits. The letter of interest MUST be submitted to the Clerk/Treasurer at PO Box 103, St. Ignatius, MT by 5:00 pm on Monday, August 26, 2019. Any letters of interest submitted after this deadline will not be considered.     YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Child and Family Services Division (CFS), through its attorney, has filed a PETITION FOR EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE SERVICES, ADJUDICATION OF CHILD AS YOUTH IN NEED OF CARE and TEMPORARY LEGAL CUSTODY;
    NOW THEREFORE YOU ARE HEREBY CITED AND DIRECTED to appear Sept. 12, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the Courtroom of the above-entitled Court at the Courthouse, 106 Fourth Avenue East, Polson, Lake County, Montana, then and there to  show cause, if any you may have, why the State's PETITION FOR EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE SERVICES, ADJUDICATION OF CHILD AS YOUTH IN NEED OF CARE and TEMPORARY LEGAL CUSTODY should not be granted.

    The Town of St. Ignatius is soliciting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the Town of St. Ignatius’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, with the option of auditing the city’s financial statements for subsequent fiscal years.
