Accounting technician

ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN - DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
    The successful applicant is required to have a high school diploma and two years of either education in an accounting field or on-the-job.  Must possess working knowledge of standard, modem office and procedures, with preference given to those who also have working knowledge of CSKT protocol. Must be skilled in the operation of computers, copiers, calculators and other standard office equipment. Must be able to read and interpret complex written material; Must be able to learn and master a variety of computer software. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to do data for an extended period of time uninterrupted on a daily basis (goes to hand repetitive nature and sedentary nature of position).  Must be able to stand at copy machine to process paid bills for an extended period of time. Must be able to lift purchase requisition boxes (approximately 28 lbs) to load printer as required. 70% sedentary and 30% light effort. Must be able to walk the Tribal Complex campus as needed to retrieve and deliver documents outside of the DHRD building. Must be able to work calmly in situations and to be able to adapt easily to changes. Association executive director

Association Executive Director: The Montana Newspaper Association (MNA), a non-profit organization representing 85 member newspapers and 44 associate members, seeks an Executive Director. This position will work closely with a board of directors and will direct operations of the 133-year-old MNA, its for-profit advertising sales subsidiary and the Montana Newspaper Foundation. Responsibilities include financial planning and operations, legislative work, marketing/advertising, seminars and conventions, contests, office and personnel management, publications. Successful candidate will understand community newspapers, web-based
news and advertising, use of social media and exhibit strong communications and interpersonal skills. Previous driving experience with excellent driving record/skills and have no history of reckless or unsafe driving habits and/or suspended driving license privileges. Must pass drug screen, background check and fingerprinting with no offenses involving violence against children or other individuals and no sexual abuse against children. Have knowledge of Flathead Reservation roads, Montana State traffic laws, local & tribal driving ordinances and GSA requirements. Must have general vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge. Must be willing to promote a program of drug and alcohol free education. Must be willing to be a team member of active staff and demonstrate cooperative behavior. Experience working with Native American youth and/or knowledge of Native American culture is preferred but not required. Must pass drug test, background check, fingerprinting (no violence against children or other individuals, no sexual abuse against children). FOSTER CARE LICENSOR/ SCL PROGRAM MANAGER DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
    The successful applicant is required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, with two (2) years' work experience working with families, youth or in child welfare and two (2) years' demonstrated supervision experience.  Position is a testing designated position (TOP) under the terms and condition of the CSKT Drug Testing Program and implementing rules. Position must pass suitability and character reference check and finger printing as required by the Indian Child and Family Violence Protection Act —PL 101-630.  Position is required to sign a confidentiality agreement on at least an annual basis and to observe and uphold professional levels of communication protocols. Will maintain and participate in other duties as assigned. This position is subject to a background check in accordance with Public Law 101-630, 25 USC Section 3201 and Public Law 101-647, 42 USC Section 13031. The background check also includes child protection service checks and driving record checks. This position is a mandatory reporter of child abuse and neglect situations.
