Join the fifth celebration of birds, bears
PABLO — The 2017 Birds and Bears Festival will take place on May 25, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Salish Kootenai College. Join the fifth annual celebration of birds and bears in science, art, and Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Kootenai Tribal culture featuring our 15th annual third grade bird drawing contest winners.

PABLO — A “Community Strong Drug Endangered Children” training will take place on June 1 from 9 a.m.-noon and from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Salish Kootenai College gym – the Mary McDonald room. Come and learn what you can do about the substance abuse in our area and how we can help our drug endangered children.

Participate in Men’s Health Fair
PABLO — The second annual Men’s Health Fair will take place at Salish Kootenai College Sherry McDonald reception room on Friday, June 2, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be served. ‘Save Our Sisters’ dresses on display
PABLO — Missing from Our Circle Art Show will take place at The People’s Center on Saturday, June 3, at 6 p.m. Missing from Our Circle is a three dimensional display of the “Save Our Sisters: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Awareness Project” dresses made by Marita Growing Thunder. The piece depicts the impact that the missing and murdered Indigenous women crisis has had on our communities, lives, and cultures. We will honor their lives, spirits, and journeys as we call for justice for the MMIW crisis. Be a witness to their silent honor dance.
