LANTANA, TEXAS — William A. Longpre, 83, of Lantana, Texas, formerly of Missoula, died of natural causes March 27 at the Medical Center of Lewisville, Texas. Born March 10, 1933, in Missoula to William Longpre and Lena Marceau, he graduated from Gonzaga High School and attended Carroll College. Prior to joining the US Navy, he worked in a clinical laboratory and as a blood bank technician. After joining the US Navy he worked at Naval hospitals in the United States, Japan, and aboard several vessels. During his US Naval service he sailed to numerous ports of call around the world, completed six tours in Vietnam and advanced through the ranks to Chief Hospital Corpsman (CPO). William...
