ST. IGNATIUS — Gregory Blaine Marengo, 65, passed away on Nov. 19, 2016, near his home in St. Ignatius. He was born on May 25, 1951, in Polson to Clarence and Irene Marengo. Greg was a graduate of Polson High School and an enrolled member of the Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Following high school he began working for Harry Medland. Harry mentored Greg in his chosen career as a land surveyor, which he would continue for the rest of his life. Greg married Ellen Peters in 1981 in Port Orchard, Washington, and they were happily married for 35 years.
