POLSON — People always called my uncle crazy because he wore one red and one blue sock. That’s all he wore; maybe that was why.

I attended a very good spaghetti dinner at the Ronan Senior Center. They had a silent auction and now I am the proud owner of a small, indoor, remote-controlled helicopter. I hope it lasts more than 30 seconds like the last one I had. But the price was right! At my age, you might think I’d outgrown toys, not.

We have a new supply of See’s Candy Assorted Chocolates and Nutty Chews and they are $18 per box. Get yours now for the holidays.

Plan now for the toenail clinic on Nov.12th from 10 a.m.-noon.

There will be no bingo on Friday, Oct. 31.

Tuesday’s senior no-tap bowling results were: Cris Alter had women’s high game and high series with 267 and 635, respectively. Ray Theiler had the men’s high game with 260 and Don Young took the men’s high series with 670. Don also had the high handicap series with 745. Linda Edwards had women’s high handicap series with 775.

The lunch menu for the coming week is as follows:

•  Thursday, Oct. 30: hamburger gravy, whipped potatoes

•  Friday, Oct. 31: baked chicken, seasoned rice

•  Monday, Nov. 3: spaghetti, garlic bread

•  Tuesday, Nov. 4: meatloaf, whipped potatoes

•  Wednesday, Nov. 5: soft shell tacos, baked beans

•  Lunches are served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

It’s better to be healthy than wise; being sick costs you money but you can be stupid for free.

Have a great week.
