ARLEE — William S. Yellow Robe, Jr., artistic director of the Bearhead Swaney Inter-Tribal Playwrights’ Center, will conduct a series of individual sessions regarding playwriting and other forms of literature Monday through Friday, Nov. 17- 21 at Hangin Art Gallery on Highway 93 in downtown Arlee.
The workshop is for those who want to learn to write a play, think they have a story that could work as a play, have a collection of poems that they would like to transform into a performance, or a piece of fiction that they would like to develop into a play format,
know a few good songs that with a story holding them together, or a few good dance steps that could be put together for a story.
The sessions are on a first come, first served basis. Each individual work session runs for one hour, to be scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. A group session will be held each evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Participants are requested to bring something to write with, such as a laptop, notebook, or the old-school paper and pencil.
All materials discussed are property of the individual. Those who are a member of the Bearhead Swaney Inter-Tribal Playwrights Center will receive first consideration.
