Howard Joel Erickson
ARLEE — Howard Joel Erickson, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at his home in Arlee.
Born Sept. 29, 1922 in Minnesota, he moved with his family to Montana in 1958 and worked on a ranch in Roundup, moving to Arlee in 1963. He worked at Peavey’s in Ronan, the Cenex Station in Arlee ending up at the Arlee Fish Hatchery until retirement in 1983.
Howard was an accomplished farmer, rancher and woodworker.
Preceding Howard in death were parents Peter and Lucy; sisters Mae and Alice; and brothers George, Phil, William, Elmer and James.
Survivors include wife of 57 years, Delores; brother, Peter; daughter, Ruth; son, Richard (Sandy); grandchildren Brian, Shawna and Angela; and great-grandchildren Rusty, Nathaniel, Noah and Natalie.
Services were held at the Brown Building in Arlee on March 15. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Arlee Ambulance.
