Doris Marie Lyons Kendley
POLSON — Doris Kendley passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on March 18, 2010.
Mom was born on June 22, 1917 on a family ranch near Two Dot to Minnie and George Lyons.
She attended high school in Helena. Prior to World War II, she moved to Canada and then to Alaska, where she worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She met her husband, Thomas “Ed” Kendley there. After the war, the couple moved back to Montana.
Doris was generous to a fault, giving to those less fortunate anything she could.
Doris is survived by her loving husband Ed; sons, Jack and Steve (Mary); and grandchildren Sam and Haley Marie.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Polson.
Donations in Doris’ memory can be made to the American Red Cross and Haiti Earthquake Relief fund.
