PABLO — The Salish Kootenai College Lady Bison couldn’t enter the postseason any hotter.

In their final regular season game Friday night at the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center in Pablo, the Lady Bison knocked down 14 3-pointers in a 107-73 victory over the Northwest Indian College. The one-sided victory was the defending AIHEC champions' 13th in a row and the first time they broke the century mark this season.

In their final tuneup before the AIHEC championship in Santa Fe, N.M., March 18-21, the Lady Bison were lead by St. Ignatius’ Shaylene Piedalue, who finished with 21 points, 12 of which came on 3-pointers. Featuring a more balanced-attack than in the past, the Lady Bison had five players finish in double figures.

Lady Bison point guard Misty Ostlie and Marianne Addison each finished with 17 points. Ostlie scored 11 of her points in the first half and Addison took over in the second half,  where she scored 11. Lisa Mathias, from Elmo, finished with 13 points and Lady Bison captain Carla McLean finished with 11 points.

After starting the season 2-7, the Lady Bison have improved to 15-7.

“Everyone is starting to find their place on the team and understanding what their role is,” SKC coach Juan Perez said.
