News from Boy Scouts of America, Montana Council
LAKE COUNTY — This fall, Montanans bought more than $2 million worth of Boy Scout popcorn through the Montana Council Popcorn Campaign. A portion of the proceeds from the Boy Scouts of America popcorn fundraiser help maintain Melita Island on Flathead Lake, where hundreds of Boy Scouts gather each summer to hone leadership skills and enjoy nature.
“Montana’s Boy Scouts are thankful for the amazing support they receive from people all across the state,” said Mary Matelich, vice president of public relations for the Montana Council. “Because of the generosity of families, friends, and neighbors, Boy Scouts will have the funds to continue to offer the best possible programs for our youth.”
