News from Flathead Lake International Cinemafest
POLSON — Judging is complete and the schedule is set. Now, the public is invited to join emerging and veteran filmmakers at Polson’s third annual Flathead Lake International Cinemafest film festival Jan. 23-25. The 2015 festival schedule of films and events can be viewed and tickets purchased online from the FLIC website at www.flicpolson.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Showboat Cinema, 416 Main St., Polson, (406) 883-5606.
FLIC’s program offers 82 independent films representing 13 countries from around the world, as well as 21 Montana filmmakers, including a local Polson entry.
An Opening Night Party officially kick-offs the festival on Friday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. The party’s theme is “SPECtacular SPECtacle,” and attendees are encouraged to wear spectacles and costumes reflecting their favorite movie. Hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Steve Fetveit, NBC News Anchor, will serve as emcee for the event. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at the FLIC website. Friday’s films begin at 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at the Showboat Cinema.
Saturday’s jam-packed schedule launches at 8:30 a.m. with a free kids’ movie, free breakfast, and kids are invited to wear their pajamas.
