POLSON — Good things to know: Peel a banana from the bottom up and you won’t have all those little string thingies to peel off. Also, time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like bananas.
The vet’s rep will be here on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tax season is nearly upon us once more. We will have preparers in our facility on Mondays and Thursdays, beginning Feb. 2. Call 883-4735 for an appointment.
Cris Alter had the high women’s senior bowling game, scoring a 275. Her hubby, Larry, rolled a perfect 300 as did Pat Reagan for the high men’s game. Cris and Larry also had the high series with Cris’ 672 and Larry’s 812. Diana Sawyer scored a 739 to capture the women’s handicap series and Larry Alter’s 812 was high for the men’s handicap series.
Our pinochle group is alive and healthy with two tables in play. Pete Daniels once again came out ahead of the pack with 5210. Donna Cason took second with 4320.
Our lunch menu for the coming week will be:
•Thursday, Jan. 29: French dip, tater tots
•Friday, Jan. 30: baked chicken, rice with gravy
• Monday, Feb. 2: potato soup with sandwich
• Tuesday, Feb. 3: meatballs in gravy w/noodles
• Wednesday, Feb. 4: pork chow mien
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
