Western B/C Divisional Tournament

EUREKA – Ronan picked up a second place team finish Saturday with a team score of 195 at the Western B-C Divisional tourney and will be sending 10 wrestlers to the State tournament in Billings by placing one grappler in first, four in second, two in third and three taking a fourth place.

Ronan’s Hunter Peterson (113) took top honors for the Chiefs with a first-place finish in his weight class after a 12-2 decision win. 

In at second for the Chiefs was Cole Snyder (126), Jared Neiss (145), Luiz Gonzalez (205) and Michael Irvine wrestling at 285.

Bronze went to Seth Cheff (113) and Gray Cook (285) while Spencer Stagg (103), Graydon Irish (170) and Kail Cheff (182) all took fourth.

Mission-Charlo placed third as a team with an overall score of 150.5 and will send six to State with four of the six boasting Divisional titles.

Bulldogs Jamie Mullins (132), Trent Dennison (152), Steven Bravo (182) and Ethan Goss-Dickie (285) all finished with first place medals.

Joining the Mission-Charlo State team will be Shane Morigeau (205) and Chris Anderson (285) who each placed fourth.

Arlee will send Alex Bertollt, the lone Warrior to place in the top four but not without honor. Bertollt also grabbed gold after a 0:50 pin in the championship round.

Top four grapplers in each weight class will get an invite to wrestle at the State Tournament in Billings starting Friday. Fifth and sixth placers will be reserved as alternates.
