Ronan, Pablo, Polson Spring Hunters Education Class begins

PABLO — The Ronan, Pablo and Polson Spring Hunter Education course will begin Monday, March 2 in Room 116 of the Beaverhead math and science building on the Salish Kootenai College campus in Pablo. Students must attend all classes and the mandatory field day to be certified. All classes will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

Hunters Education workbooks with student instructions will be available Wednesday, March 18 at Ronan Sports and Western, Westland Seed in Ronan, and Murdoch’s in Polson.

It is required that the student course manuals be read and all the questions answered at the end of each chapter before the first night of class, March 2. No one will be allowed to take the class without this requirement completed.

Volunteer instructors will teach the Hunters Education course March 2-5. A mandatory field course is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Classes continue on Monday, March 9, with a course review and final test.  

All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike. All firearms and ammunition are provided, students are not allowed to bring either to class or field day.
