News from the Arlee Volunteer Fire Department
ARLEE — At the recent Arlee Volunteer Firemen’s Banquet three men were recognized for their many years of service to the community, including, from left, Gary Drye, 30 years; Drew Hendrickson, 37 years; and Kelly Wolcott, 34 years.
The banquet was well attended with the exception being our Fire Chief who is in Arizona undergoing cancer treatment. One of the goals of the department this year will be ensuring that Donnie Henderson gets well and returns to his family and friends here in Arlee.
Jerry Conover barbecued delicious prime rib, pork and salmon, while the members brought their best dishes and desserts, resulting in a very enjoyable feast. Following the dinner, awards and gifts were presented and a year-in-review slide show was shown. The department responded to 234 emergencies in 2014. Drew Hendrickson was the top responder, Katie Parson was second and Jim Thornton was third.
The next time you see a volunteer firefighter be sure and thank them for their service.
