Fern Mollohan Giltner
POLSON — Fern Mollohan Giltner, 85, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at Evergreen Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Born May 25, 1924 in Burns, Kan. to T.K. and Lena Mollohan, she was schooled in El Dorado and Iola, Kan. and at the Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Center, Mass.
She served as a church director of Christian education in Detroit, Mich., and Springfield Mass., and later was a counselor and administrator at the Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio for 15 years
She is survived by husband, John Giltner, Sr.; daughter, June (Jeff) Dunnington; sons John Giltner Jr. and Timothy Giltner; grandchildren Kaitlyn Giltner, Gretchen Giltner and Patrick and Jordan Dunnington; brother, Myron (Carolyn) Mollohan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held at First United Methodist Church, Polson, Feb. 6. Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church, Polson.
