Roberta (Bobbi) Joan Luke

POLSON — Roberta (Bobbi) Joan Luke, 77, of Polson, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2015, at Kalispell Regional Hospital with family by her side.

She was born on June 21, 1937, in Kalispell to Bill and Charlotte Wilhelm. She graduated from Polson High School in 1956 and married Clifford Luke on Sept. 11, 1956. They celebrated 55 years of marriage together. Cliff and Bobbi were members of the Spark and Throttle Car Club in Polson and made many life long friends there.

Bobbi was an avid bowler in earlier years. She enjoyed many crafts and was an excellent seamstress in her prime. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and entertaining guests. From her many hobbies, we remember fondly the cabbage rolls, dill pickles, and one particular year of homemade cherry wine. The Luke house was often a place for friends and family to drop in anytime. The coffee was always on.

In recent years, she delighted most of all in family visits, especially from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobbie’s parents; her husband, Clifford Luke; and a granddaughter Amber Luke precede her in death.

Survivors include her sisters: Charleen Perkins, Loretta Jepson and Chris (Jim) Schultz; her children: Ernie Luke, Marilyn (Lynn) Cooper, Kenny (Diana) Luke, and Colleen Oden; her grandchildren: Teresa Cooper, Amanda (Mike) Lukaitis, Jesse (Vanessa) Oden, Annie Luke, CW2 Charlie Cooper, Airman Nathan Luke, Roddy (Melissa) Oden, Abby Luke and Aaron Luke and her great-grandchildren: Romelle, Mason and Emmitt Oden and Gabriella Luke. Among her beloved family she also leaves three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; along with 20 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Polson Presbyterian Church or the Polson Community Church.
