Mission
ST. IGNATIUS – Along with Darby and Troy, the Mission racquets were swinging, but to no avail; Darby and Troy ended victorious while Mission skirted struggles. In the end the Bulldogs split and the Lady Bulldogs found trouble on the courts in Friday’s home-hosted meet.
For the boys, Bulldogs Andrew Esslinger and Nate Doll won all their matches of the day with Doll posting the best numbers with only two set losses between his two matches.
Against Darby, Mission won 5-1. Doll won his match 6-0, 6-1 while Steven Bravo posted a 6-0, 6-1 win as well.
For the second team scrimmage, Mission faced Troy on the court, falling to the Trojans 2-3.
Esslinger and Doll won the two matches for the boys with both beating their opponents 6-1,6-0.
Unfortunately for the girls, no wins came their way, leaving them with a 0-5 team score against Darby and 0-2 against Troy.
