Justice of the Peace, Judge Chuck Wall dealt with the following case from Dec. 18-24:
Jeremy Wade Nelson, 21, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol - first offense, driving without a valid driver's license - expired more than 180 days, and to failure to give notice of accident by quickest means - apparent damage over $500.
He was found guilty of all three offenses, fined $400, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended for DUI. For driving without a valid license, he was fined $150, charged $35 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended. For failure to give notice, he was fined $65 and charged $35 in court costs.
