News from Mission Valley Christian Academy

POLSON – The first annual Mission Valley Christian Academy Car Show was held on Saturday, Sept. 26, with 36 amazing cars and trucks. Owners from around the Mission Valley and as far away as Missoula and Lolo were represented. The event was proudly sponsored by Pierce Ronan, Don Aadsen Ronan, NAPA-Polson, Mrs. Wonderful, CarQuest, AutoZone, NAPA-Ronan, and O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Attendees were treated to a delightful lunch and had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a bedding package, tool set and a 50/50 drawing. They also helped select the Viewer’s Choice Awards. First place went to the Plymouth Super Bird – Milton Nickel from Polson, sponsored by Mason Niblack. Second place was awarded to a 1957 Pontiac Safari Sedan – David Proctor from Lolo. Third place was given to the 1956 Chevy Bel-Air – Wally Poole from Polson.

The Car Show was a fundraiser for updating the MVCA 15-passenger school van and the event raised $1,400 toward that effort. MVCA is deeply grateful for the numerous volunteers but Sheila Gingras and Julie Conrad were the main organizers and truly made this fundraiser a wonderful success.
