Charlo-Mission

 

CHARLO — Cross-valley rival Charlo Vikings took control of the Charlo gym Oct. 1, beating the Mission Bulldogs 25-15, 25-18 and 25-10.

The Lady Vikings had a strong performance with 11 aces, 27 kills and 13 blocks. Allie Delayne led her team with 25 digs.

The Lady Bulldogs battled with 17 team kills, led by Haley Carroll with six. Jordyn Eichert and Nalahn Linsebigler dug deep to reach 11 digs each of the team total 57. 

Mission lost their next two matches to Stillwater on Friday, Oct. 2 and Deerlodge on Saturday, Oct. 3, through the set points were close throughout the matches.

The Lady Vikings travel to Noxon on Thursday and face Two Eagle River in Pablo on Saturday.

Ronan

 

Ronan hosted two formidable opponents last week, battling but coming up short in all sets.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29 the Loyola Sacred Heart Breakers shut down the Maidens 18-25, 12-25, 15-25. 

Sadie Wirz led Ronan’s 59 digs with 17 and Ashley Peterson nailed three kills. Alex Dennis, Jordyn Clairmont, Lee Camel and Wirz each served up an ace. Shaina Snyder helped with seven assists.

The next day the Maidens were hunted by the Florence Lady Falcons in the 16-25, 20-25, 18-25 losses. Maiden Alex Dennis slammed two aces and pounced on 10 of the teams’ 13 digs while Ashley Peterson scored on five kills. Lee Camel netted two blocks, Jordyn Clairmont tallied a high five assists and Shaina Snyder contributed across the board with three kills, seven digs and three assists.

The Maidens will host Anaconda at home Thursday afternoon and Deer Lodge Saturday before traveling Tuesday for a rematch with Florence.
