News from The Nest
POLSON — The Nest is hosting a “Fall Fest to Feather The Nest” featuring a “Nest Jam” with Gladys Friday and Friends, Native Games and kids games, a pig roast and picnic with all the fixin’s, and a silent auction that will include something for everyone – even the kids. Topping it all off will be a pie contest judged by Sheriff Don Bell and a pie auction to close the day.
Tickets are $40 per couple and $25 single; free admission to children under 12 who are accompanied by adults. This will all take place at the McCrumb Barn on Finley Point on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. Major event sponsor is Glacier Bank, and many local businesses, musicians and wonderful people have volunteered silent auction items, their time and their talents to make this day a success.
All proceeds will go towards operating expenses for The Nest, a home with supportive services for pregnant and parenting young women who wish to raise their children in a safe and secure environment while they are learning the job and life skills they need to lead to happy and fulfilling life.
The Nest is located at 410 St. Mary’s Drive in St. Ignatius, and once funding is secured, the Board of Directors can open the doors. For more information, contact Executive Director Jenifer Blumberg at 406-546-0199.
