POLSON — A benefit pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8-11 a.m. at Cherry Valley Elementary School in Polson. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Thelma Mae Briney, daughter of Brad and Mandy Briney and granddaughter of Paul and Kathy Briney, has been diagnosed with clear cell sarcoma of the kidney, a very rare form of children’s cancer. She is in Seattle being treated at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her parents and 5-year-old brother are with her. She has had surgery to remove a tumor and one of her kidneys. She has had radiation and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Her treatment in Seattle will take 6-8 months. Brad and Mandy need to be with their daughter and son and cannot work during this time. Please consider showing how our community cares and support this child and her family. If you cannot attend the breakfast, a donation to the Thelma Mae Briney support fund can be made at First Interstate Bank in Polson. Prayers for Thelma Mae are also greatly appreciated.
