POLSON — A man allegedly involved in the Oct. 7 attack on a Ronan day care provider pleaded not guilty in Lake County District Court Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Francis Jackson, 31, of Arlee, entered his plea in Judge James Manley’s court in response to charges of felony assault with a weapon. He’s scheduled to be back in court Feb. 3, 2016 for an omnibus hearing, and a jury trial is set to start March 14, 2016.
According to court documents, Jackson entered Martha’s Mini Daycare, where his three children, in custody of Tribal CPS, were being cared for in the home. Jackson appeared intoxicated, and was not allowed to have contact with the children nor was he legally allowed at the day care. After day care provider Martha McClure physically removed him from the home, Jackson became angry and threw a tricycle and other items at a glass picture window. McClure went outside and was then allegedly attacked by Jackson and Tashiana Schlensker, 21 of Charlo, who pleaded not guilty in district court Oct. 21.
