POLSON — Cooks, carvers, kitchen help and servers all combined to make our community Thanksgiving dinner a huge success. We served up 300 in-house meals and delivered 226 meals. Area churches donated all the food and local women brought many pies. Local artists provided music and many young people were on hand to help. We at the senior center and the entire community owe these people huge thanks.
Cris Alter once again took the high spots for women at senior bowling, sharing top honors with Ray Theiler for the men. The one exception was Frani Basta, who took the high handicap series.
Our lunch menu for the coming week will be:
— Thursday, Dec. 3: turkey potpie, biscuits, cranberries
— Friday, Dec. 4: soft shell taco
— Monday, Dec.7: Navy bean soup, tuna sandwich
— Tuesday, Dec. 8: ham slices, sweet potatoes
— Wed. Dec. 9: cheeseburger, jo-jos
All the meals are accompanied with vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Have a good week.
