Clerks, recorders offer scholarship
LAKE COUNTY — Applications are being accepted for the annual $1,000 scholarship given by the Montana Association of Clerks and Recorders. Applicants must be a graduating senior who plan on attending a Montana university, college or vocational-technical school.
Application forms are available from the guidance counselors of all high schools in Lake County, from the Lake County Clerk and Recorder’s office at the courthouse in Polson or on the Lake County Clerk and Recorder’s website. Students who attend school within Lake County should submit completed applications to the Lake County Clerk and Recorder, Paula Holle, postmarked no later than March 15, 2016.
Applications are judged on the basis of work experience, school and community activities, goals, unusual circumstances and scholastic performance. Final judging will be done by May 1 to select one statewide winner and an alternate. A certificate will be issued to the winner. Upon acceptance by the school of the student’s choice, the scholarship will be paid directly to the school.
Rohrenbach scholarship deadline March 1
POLSON — The Lake County Job Service Employers Committee (JSEC) is accepting applications for the Ken Rohrenbach Scholarship. The Committee will be providing two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school or home school seniors in Lake County. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
