DIXON — Are you enjoying our March weather? Did you remember to turn your clocks ahead? Did you even think about wearing some green for St. Patrick’s Day? (Maybe because I was a schoolteacher in elementary grades, this is still important to me.) I am looking out on the majestic Missions - all are still snow-topped, some in bright sunshine, some touched by clouds. In a while, the snow will be gone and we will see green leaves and multitudes of flowers. The birds have had their “spring songs” for some time now. Changes are everywhere!

We are fortunate to live where there is a definite change in seasons.

If you’re looking for a place to have lunch on a Thursday, bring your friends or family to Dixon Senior Center at noon for a delicious lunch for only $4. Dinners are every Monday at 5 p.m. You don’t have to be a senior because any age is welcome.

March menu:

—  Thursday, March 17: St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage, of course!

—  Monday, March 21: roast

—  Thursday, March 24: ham

—  Monday, March 28: lasagna

—  Thursday, March 31: potato soup, salad

We were pleased to share lunch with 15 of Dixon’s honor roll students recently. They walked over to the center from Dixon School and used their company manners.

Enjoy all the new season is bringing us.
