Opal Lou Amos

Opal Lou Amos passed away suddenly on Feb. 22, 2016. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

Opal was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Riverside, California. She moved to Ronan in 1998. Opal spent her life caring for others; she loved taking care of others. She was a CNA, and also did home health care. She volunteered for the local food bank and had also been a foster grandparent at a local school.

Opal raised four children on her own and then raised five of her grandchildren off and on. She also cared for her siblings later in life.

She was the most caring and loving person. She never met a stranger because she considered everyone a friend.

Her true love, Ray, preceded her in death in 1998; as did a grandson, Adam, in 2012; and a granddaughter, Sarah, in 2003.

Opal’s children, John L. Graham of Stockton, California; Jim G. Graham of Pablo; Mary E. Bales of St. Ignatius; and Sharon Graham of Ronan, all survive her. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jimmy Graham of Albany, Oregon; Mary Sherman of Pablo; John W. Graham of Pablo; Richard and Tucker Hefner of Susanville, California; Jeff Miller of Ronan; John M. Graham of Stockton, California; numerous great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Sammy.

Opal will be missed by all that knew her for she was truly a rare person.
