News from the Lake County Job Service Employer Committee
POLSON — At their May general meeting, the Lake County Job Service Employer Committee awarded two $1,000 Ken Rohrenbach Scholarships to graduating seniors from Lake County. Kaitlyn Sassaman of Ronan High School and Emanuelle LaChance of St. Ignatius High School were selected as this year’s recipients.
Kaitlyn plans to continue her education at the University of Jamestown, where she will study Exercise Science.
Emanuelle plans to attend the University of Montana Western, where she will pursue a degree in Secondary Education.
To qualify for this scholarship, Kaitlyn and Emanuelle submitted essays describing their life experiences and how they have impacted their futures. The JSEC Committee feels that Kaitlyn and Emanuelle are the ideal recipients for this year’s scholarships, as they exemplify the desired qualifications including community involvement, determination, and overcoming adversity.
