LCCOA provides helpful services
LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Council on Aging provides homemaking services, which include light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping. All services are offered on a sliding scale based on income. Respite is an inhome service provided to caregivers to temporarily relieve them of caring for their loved one. This service helps support family and informal caregivers in taking care of themselves.
The LCCOA transportation is available to all residents of Lake County and provides rides to medical appointments, shopping and social appointments. Trips to Missoula and Kalispell are available with 48 hours notice. For more information or to set up appointments, call 406-676-2367 or for transportation services call 406-676-2368.
Journey Be addresses homeless issue, opens store
POLSON — “Pretty Good Books,” 101 Seventh Ave. W, opens on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9 a.m. You will find good deals on an antique buffet, hardwood furniture, an electric organ, a recliner, a freezer, artwork, and books.
Journey Be has opened the non-profit used book and furniture store at the Wander Inn, to raise money and address the homelessness issues in the area. Many may recognize the Wander Inn, which is also home of the Soup’s On project, a kitchen that serves a free meal Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Please stop by our new store and/or join us for lunch. All are welcome. The store is having a Grand Opening Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information about any of these projects, please call 406-883- 5160 or 406-871-1109.
