RONAN — Are you tired of all the political adds yet? Good thing that there are only a few days left, as our mute button is just about worn out. Don’t forget to vote next Tuesday. It is a privilege that many are denied.

Thanks to our cooks for such a great birthday dinner, and to the musicians for the wonderful music. We had 69 people in attendance, and everyone had a good time.

Somewhere along the lines of communication, there was a omission of the AARP class being held at the center. It will be on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the afternoon. I’m not sure what it costs, but bring your AARP card, and you will get it a little cheaper. Also, bring a sack lunch.

Brian Bailey will be back at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 to talk some more about your insurance needs. He will be available to answer any questions that you may have.

Area V1 Agency will also be here in November. Please call the center at 406-676-2371 to find out when and to make an appointment to see them.

There are several ladies who meet at the center on Monday afternoons to play bridge, and they would like for others to join them. They are also wondering if there are any cribbage players that are interested in getting some games going.

The pinochle players will meet here on Monday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. They too, are always looking for more card players to join them. This group meets every Monday at a different senior center around Lake County.

Painting class and crafts are each Wednesday following the noon meal. All are invited to attend. Our evening meal this month is on Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and we will serve roast pork.

The foot clinic is at 10 a.m. on Nov.16 and that is also the day of our Thanksgiving dinner.

We will be closed on Nov. 27 and 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Our bazaar is fast approaching. It is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. There will be a bake sale and lunch will be available. Christmas is fast approaching, so perhaps you could find some great homemade gifts at the bazaar. Lunch tickets make great gifts for seniors and we will have some available for sale at the bazaar. They cost $48 for 12 meals. Partial tickets can also be bought.

Our menu for the following week is:

— Wednesday, Nov. 2: beef enchiladas

— Friday, Nov. 4: Polish dogs in sauerkraut

— Monday, Nov. 7: chicken

— Wednesday, Nov. 9: porcupine meatballs

— Thursday, Nov. 10: pork roast at 5:30 p.m.

— Friday, Nov. 11: clam chowder and broccoli/cheddar soup

Come on in and join us, you might be surprised as to how many people you know that are here. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your age is. Have a great week, and we do hope to see you here.
