HELENA– Gov. Steve Bullock recently announced that 15 Montana communities received a total of $374,031 in grants to help Main Street Montana businesses with plans for growth.

Two local entities received a share in the grant funding. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes received $27,000 to complete a financial analysis and preliminary design work for the Camas Bathhouse site in Hot Springs.

Lake County Community Development Corporation received $5,750 to assist Vassallo Beverage LLC dba Tipu’s Chai with the completion of a strategic branding report. Tipu’s Chai blends its own mix of spices and Indian tea. The company is based in Polson.

“Montana’s businesses are planning for job growth and even greater opportunities to expand,” Bullock said. “From revitalizing Main Street to creating jobs and increasing access to recreational activities, these funds will support important economic development projects in communities across the Big Sky.”

The funds are being awarded through the Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund program.
