RONAN — I hope everyone remembered their mothers and all the special ladies in their lives on Mother’s Day. Where would we be without our mothers?
There are a lot of things going on this coming week at the Mission Valley Senior Center. On Wednesday the foot clinic will be here for anyone who needs special care with their feet. Bridge is played every Monday following the noon meal and anyone who would like to play is welcome. The arts and crafts group will not meet this week. On Thursday, May 18, Women For Wellness will take place at SKC. There will be a bus picking up anyone who needs a ride from the senior center at 9 a.m.
Our menu for the coming week is:
— Wednesday, May 17: chicken Alfredo, garlic bread, salad, dessert
— Friday, May 19: a variety of soups, sandwiches, dessert
— Monday May 22: cabbage roll, salad, fruit, dessert
— Wednesday, May 24: tuna hot dish, salad, dessert
— Friday, May 26: the monthly birthday dinner - roast beef, mashed potatoes, fruit, salads, desserts
We have some great cooks and welcome anyone to come and join us. You don’t have to be a senior to come and enjoy a great meal. Thought for the day is: Live every day as if it were your last because we never know when it will be.
