Judge Kim Christopher sentenced the following people on June 15 and 22:

Curtis Martin Lafley, 52, of Arlee had a suspended sentence revoked for aggravated burglary and robbery. He was sentenced to seven years in the state prison with all time suspended. The sentence will run consecutively to a fiveyear sentence with no time suspended that he received last week from Judge James A. Manley for his fifth DUI. According to a court document, Lafley has struggled to remain sober since 2013. Probation officer Sandy Van Skyock said Lafley moved back to Lake County that year, “failed in every way” and became addicted to narcotic pain pills.

Larry Dean Oldhorn III, 34, of Charlo, was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections with all time suspended for forgery. A criminal possession of dangerous drugs charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Oldhorn was ordered to obtain a chemical dependency evaluation and pay $710 in fines and fees. According to a court document, Oldhorn was found with stolen checks and had passed six of them totaling $375. If he pays all of the restitution, the county attorney will recommend the sentence be revised to five years.

George Bennett Evans, 49, of Polson, was given a seven-year sentence to DOC with five years suspended for his fourth DUI. He was given credit for 56 days in jail and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine. Evans was cited following a Sept. 25, 2014 incident in which a pickup went into a ditch on Highway 212. According to a court document, Evans had a blood alcohol content of .118. He was ordered to complete a residential alcohol treatment program. Evans was also sentenced to one year in DOC for bail jumping with all time suspended. That sentence will run consecutively to the longer one.

Nicholas Patrick Kapcha, 34, of Ronan, was sentenced to four years in DOC with one year suspended for criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Three other drug charges were dismissed along with bail jumping as part of a plea agreement. He was given credit for 27 days in jail. Kapcha was ordered to pay $1,480 in fines and fees.

Chantel Cooper, 20, of Pablo, had a three-year deferred sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs revoked for violating probation. She was sentenced to five years in DOC with two suspended. Cooper said she changed her residence without notifying her probation officer and used illegal drugs. She was given credit for nine days in jail. Christopher said Cooper had attempted to elude law enforcement and crashed her car.
