News from CSKT Division of Fire

The Division of Fire Prevention program would like to let the public know that debris burning by permit closes June 30, but the public can still have campfires. By state law, campfires are limited to 3 feet in diameter. We urge that campers use caution as we head into the woods for Independence Day weekend. All campfires should be cool to the touch before ever being left unattended.

Folks should also know that the use of fireworks is prohibited on state and federal lands, and most are banned within the city limits. Those responsible for a wildfire can be held responsible for the costs of suppression.
