KALISPELL — Kalispell Regional Healthcare (KRH) welcomes pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Kelly Schmidt to the medical staff. She joins Drs. Thomas Origitano, Joseph Sramek, Joshua Krass, and Stephen S. Campbell at the Neuroscience and Spine Institute, Department of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Schmidt earned her medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and subsequently completed her neurological surgery residency and pediatric neurological surgery fellowship trainings at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
With a growing pediatric program at KRH, Dr. Schmidt will be a leader in developing the pediatric neurosurgery services to help care for the youngest patients in northwest Montana. Her professional interests include congenital brain and spine anomalies, hydrocephalus and brain tumors.
When not in the office, Dr. Schmidt enjoys skiing, playing soccer, and Denver Broncos football.
