ST. IGNATIUS — Harvest home, we’ve plowed, we’ve sowed, we’ve reaped, we’ve mowed and brought home every load.
We are still accepting bids on a 23-foot gabled roof to be installed on the south side of our building. This includes the cleanup of the old existing porch. The successful bidder must have an independent contractors certificate. Copies of the plans can be picked up at the center in the front entryway. To request a copy by mail, call the center at 406-745-4462.
The food pantry is still looking for volunteers to work Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are interested, call 406-745-0057 for more information.
Quilt raffle tickets are still available at Valley Bank for $1 each or six for $5. All proceeds go to the Flathead Indian Reservation Boys and Girls Club of Lake County. The winner will be announced on Sept. 15.

— Wednesday, Sept. 6: our first evening meal – pork at 5:30 p.m.
— Friday, Sept. 8: our birthday dinner - chicken
— Tuesday, Sept. 12: sandwiches
— Friday, Sept. 15: taco salad
— Tuesday, Sept. 19: tuna casserole
All of our meals are prepared and served fresh. Our menu is subject to change. Meals can be delivered to qualified seniors; for more information, call the center.
Bingo is played after almost every lunch.
The quilters are in the center on Mondays from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The card party will be held on the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. and everyone is welcome.The Neighborhood Watch group meets on the third Tuesday evening of each month at 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
The nail clinic will be on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m.-noon. Please call to make your appointment. The next board meeting will be on that same day at 10:30 a.m. and nutrition reports will be given. Also on Tuesday, Sept. 19, Commodities will be here and ready for pickup after 2 p.m.
Please remember that everyone is welcome at the St. Ignatius Senior Center. You do not have to be a senior citizen to join us for lunch or dinner.
