POLSON — I told my wife that I thought the dryer was shrinking my clothes. She said, “No dear, it’s the refrigerator.”
Tuesday, Aug. 29, Bridge results had Michele Walter taking first and Roxi Brown taking second. Roxi took second again on Friday behind Pat Rawlings. Max was an “also ran.”
The AARP Driving Class will be held on Sept. 12 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with a break for lunch.
September is dues month with a kick-off on Monday, Sept. 11, at lunch time. Pay your dues, get a banana split; it’s as simple as that.
The toenail clinic will be here on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m.-noon.
The lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, Sept. 7: cheeseburger, potato salad
— Friday, Sept. 8: Beef wrap sandwich, jo-jo’s
— Monday, Sept. 11: chicken and rice soup, rhubarb muffins
— Tuesday, Sept. 12: hamburger steak with cream gravy, whipped potatoes
— Wednesday, Sept. 13: shepherd’s pie, rolls
All meals include vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
