The Eagles won one and dropped one this week as Two Eagle River moved to 5-8 on the season.
The season of close contests continued for Two Eagle River Friday as the Eagles came up just short in double overtime against visiting Noxon.
Two Eagle saw a 10-point fourth-quarter lead evaporate as Noxon came back to force overtime after the Eagles had led throughout the contest. Both teams scored seven in the first overtime but free throws cost the Eagles in the second extra frame as Two Eagle made just three of eight. Noxon took advantage, outscoring the Eagles 8-3 in the second overtime to get the win.
The Eagles had four players in double figures in loss as Marcus Brown led the way with 19 points while Clayton Malatare added 16, T.J. Cutfinger scored 15 and Artie Mendoza added 13 points.

Skyler Rossbach poured in 10 in the win.
Two Eagle led 15-12 after one quarter and started to pull away in the second frame to lead 33-23 at the break. The second half belonged to the Eagles as Two Eagle outscored the Prospectors 48-31 over the final 16 minutes to pull away for the victory.
The season continues for the Eagles this week as they host undefeated Charlo Thursday before traveling to face Arlee Saturday.
