Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases from Dec. 15, 2017 to Jan. 4, 2018:

The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Donald Wayne Crippen, 78, fined $65; Cole Phillip Heine, 29, fined $85; Aliviah Ann Seeney, 21, fined $70; Blayne S. Bailey, 20, fined $85; Michael John Byers, 35, fined $20; Alan Patrick Eastman, 39, fined $55; Jacob Lyle Allred, 32, fined $85; Quinn Andrew Harlan, 22, fined $20; Cheyenne Solorio-Moore, 24, fined $20; Brent Joseph Herreid, 36, fined $20.

Stephan Thomas Lunsford, 25, was found guilty of the amended charge of partner family member assault, causing reasonable apprehension of bodily injury in partner, family, first offense. He was fined $100 with $100 suspended, charged $85 in court charges, ordered to pay $942.60 in restitution and sentenced to 3 days in jail with 3 days credit given.

Joshua Everett Morgan, 20, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $500 with $400 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended. Morgan also pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.02 percent BAC, under the age of 21 years of age, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $500 with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and had his driver’s license suspended for 90 days.

Cory Daniel Minez, 55, pleaded guilty to vicious dog control-licensed or unlicensed. He was fined $550 with $350 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and ordered to pay $63.70 in restitution.

Max Albert Krantz, 55, pleaded not guilty to improper passing in no-passing-zone. He was found guilty and fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Rebecca R. Couture, 37, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty and fined $500 with $300 suspended and charged $35 in court costs.

Dessilynn Elyse Brown, 29, was found guilty of following too closely – reasonable and prudent. She was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Casey Allen Walters, 42, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense. He was found guilty and fined $5000 with $2500 suspended, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 335 days suspended. He may serve 90 days house arrest in lieu of jail.

Moriah Ellaine Gillmore, 25, pleaded not guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $1000 with $400 suspended, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

Michael Lee Storfa, 53, pleaded not guilty to partner family member assault, causing reasonable apprehension of bodily injury in partner, family. He was found guilty and fined $100, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 365 days suspended. Storfa also pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

James R. Debeeld, 35, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs, - marijuana (60 grams or less) – first offense. He was fined $500 with $200 suspended and charged $85 in court costs. Debeeld also pleaded guilty to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $510 with $300 suspended and charged $75 in court costs.

Dusty Irvin Cooper, 27, forfeited a $100 bond and was charged $35 in court costs for violation of commission or department orders or rules. Cooper also forfeited a $100 bond and was charged $25 in court costs for violation of commission or department orders or rules.

Carston Glen Baetsch, 22, forfeited a $100 bond and was charged $35 in court costs for failing to stop for a school bus stopped to load or unload children.

Zachary Howard Wilkinson, 27, pleaded not guilty to ROW violation, fail/yield when enter highway from private road or driveway. He was found guilty and fined $100 and charged $35 in court costs.

Beverly Smith Blixt, 74, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for careless driving.

Robert Burton Torgerson, 74, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for improper passing, in a no-passing-zone.
